How the Solar System Calculator Derives the Estimate

The solar system calculator separates connected load, daily energy, PV capacity, inverter demand and battery storage instead of producing one unexplained result.

 

Load and energy

Each appliance contributes running power and daily energy according to quantity, hours and duty cycle. Peak demand is evaluated by selected usage period.

Energy = Watts × Quantity × Hours × Duty ÷ 1000

PV array

The selected share of daily energy is divided by site solar resource and a visible performance ratio that accounts for system losses.

PV kWp = Target kWh/day ÷ (PSH × Performance Ratio)

Battery storage

Only selected critical loads are included. Backup hours, depth of discharge, inverter efficiency, battery efficiency remain editable.

Battery kWh = Backup Energy ÷ (DoD × Efficiencies × Factors)
